These Terms of Service govern your use of our mobile application for managing medical supplies on maritime vessels. By using MHM, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

⚕ INTENDED USE & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER

Marine Hospital Manager is an inventory management and tracking tool for shipboard medical supplies. It is not a medical reference, diagnostic tool, or prescription guide, and must not be used as such.

The WHO International Medical Guide for Ships (IMGS) 3rd Edition content included in this application is provided for reference purposes only. The World Health Organization bears no responsibility or liability for this application or for any decisions made based on its content.

All decisions regarding the dispensing, administration, or withholding of medications must be made exclusively by certified and competent medical personnel. Where required by applicable law, flag state regulations, or the vessel's Safety Management System, medical advice from a licensed physician must be obtained before any medication is administered.

This application is a management aid only. It does not replace professional medical judgment, clinical assessment, or physician consultation.

— DATA PRIVACY & GDPR COMPLIANCE —

Patient names and personal health information contained in medication dispensing records are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to any server or third-party service.

When Cloud Sync is enabled, patient names are automatically removed before upload — only the officer's position/rank is included in synchronised records. This design implements the data minimisation principle of GDPR Article 5(1)(c) and meets applicable maritime data protection requirements under MLC 2006.

Non-personal operational data (inventory levels, orders, vessel configuration) is synchronised via Firebase (Google Cloud) under Google's Data Processing Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses, in compliance with GDPR Chapter V requirements for international data transfers.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ("MHM", "the App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. License Grant

2.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use MHM for managing medical supplies on maritime vessels.

2.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of MHM
Reverse engineer or decompile the app
Rent, lease, sell, or redistribute the app
Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
Use MHM for illegal or unauthorized purposes

3. Medical Disclaimer

The app does not replace qualified medical professionals
All medical decisions must be made by qualified medical officers
MHM does not verify safety, efficacy, or suitability of medications
Users are solely responsible for ensuring proper medical care
In emergencies, always contact professional medical services

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for:

Ensuring accuracy of all medical supply data entered
Verifying expiry dates and batch numbers
Maintaining proper physical inventory alongside digital records
Complying with STCW, MLC, and applicable maritime medical regulations

4.2 Professional Qualification

You represent that:

You are authorized to manage medical supplies on your vessel
You have appropriate training and qualifications
You will follow all applicable medical protocols

5. Payment and Subscription

MHM pricing will be displayed in the app and respective app stores. Prices may change, but changes will not affect existing purchases.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

6.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES.

We do not warrant that:

The app will be error-free or secure
Medical supply data will be accurate
The app meets all regulatory requirements

6.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
This includes damages from medical emergencies or supply shortages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid

6.3 Medical and Regulatory Responsibility

Maintaining adequate medical supplies per maritime law
Proper storage, handling, and administration of medications
Compliance with STCW, MLC, and medical regulations
Proper disposal of expired supplies
Maintaining accurate medical logs
All medical decisions and patient care
